Sunday 1st August
Sarah and Lola's day
Sarah Crowder is cool as fuck, and so is Lola Strummer. So we gave this day to them, no doubt as you read this there searching London for fit boys who play in bands that they can charm into coming and playing on their Sensible Sunday, we will post the outcome of this search when they get back to us. Knowing these two girls I'd say expect some toy dinosaurs, 80's music, bare foot dancing and ripped up tights.

Sunday 15st August
Del Boy's Birthday
The infamous Del Boy, father to Sensible jaY, alarm engineer extraordinaire and friend to the mischievous kids of Halsted council estates is getting old. We don't know how old. (well in fact we do , but it's rude to tell apparently) His birthday actually falls on August 11th but he has decided to hold back celebrations until Sunday so he can get Sensible with some great bands, music, drinking and whatever else may well happen...

Live: The Messengers of God
The messengers return to Sensible, there first show was part of our country show down. This six piece bands with pedal steel, fiddle and such play bluegrass and country with a comic English edge, and it's absolutely amazing. Put down your drinks and have a dance for fucks sake.

Live: Yuki (piano freak)
Whilst getting muddy and wasted at this years Glastonbury festival, Sensible stumbled into a small café tent which had a piano in the corner. Half way through eating a bowl of lentils and pita bread, a Japanese girl sat down behind the piano. What came next was pretty much indescribable, this was the best pianist Sensible had ever seen, playing anything from rock n roll to classical to boogie-woogie to blues. So we tracked her down, and asked her to play.

Live: The Argonauts
This east London pop / country / folk band, sent us some really funny e-mails, and some good MP3s. So we're gonna let them come up north to Holloway Road for one day only to play some music.

DJs: Clare James Clare (Pop Klinic)
Somehow haling from Newcastle and New Zeland Clare James Clare is an indie queen with an impeccable taste in music (she knows more about Belle and Sebastian than anyone). As well as being a long term member of the Sensible Family she is also a friend of Del Boy and is gonna be playing him a special set. Clare is also the master mind behind Wednesday nights west end shin dig Pop Klinic, where her and some friends dress up as nurses and play music that they KNOW is good. Top work.

Sunday 22nd August
Album launch Day.
Sensible gets to hear music before it's even released, and we want to share this privilege. So we've organised a day where we are gonna be playing full albums out the day before the release. We did ask Clinic to play but they were busy, we also had a little séance and ask Jeff Buckley, he said he's gonna try his best to get there in some form.

Obviously we will still be having some live bands and guest DJs, will post info on this soon.

Clinic
Sensible hates the idea of saying that any one particular band is a favourite, being as Sensible likes so much it seems like an unfair question. However if put under gun point and asked then Sensible may well say "Clinic are my favourite band"

The good news is that Liverpool's art rockers have a new album "Winchester Cathedral" coming out on 23rd August on Domino Records. The even better news is that we're gonna be doing a little launch party for the album on this Sensible Sunday. We will be doing a full playback of the album ( 6 o' clock ) and we've also got a whole bunch of Clinic goodies to give away. Including copies of the new single, some clinic magic wands, videos and stuff... So we'll probably do some sort of quiz to win em.

Jeff Buckley
IF put under the same gun point and asked What was Jeff Buckley's best album, everybody in the room would say "Grace" and that's why Sony records have decided to re-release this classic album, this time with a separate disc of unheard material, and the single that never was "Forget Her"

We will also be doing a playback of this album (5 o'clock) and we've also got some Jeff Buckley goodies to give away.
